Healthier

Calculate a personalised daily calorie target with protein, carbohydrate and fat grams for an adult who wants to lose, maintain or gain weight. Use when the user asks how many calories or how much protein they should eat, what their maintenance or deficit is, or how to eat for a goal weight or pace (for example 'how many calories to lose 0.5 kg a week?', 'what should my macros be?'). Needs sex, age or date of birth, height, weight, activity level and goal. Metric or imperial is accepted. If something is missing the result says exactly what to ask for. Returns energy_kcal, protein_g, carbohydrates_g, fat_g, bmr_kcal, tdee_kcal, personalised micronutrient goals, display strings in the user's units, and a target_id valid for 7 days that set_nutrition_target can save. Adults 18 and over only: returns unsupported_population for pregnancy, breastfeeding or under 18. Does not save anything and needs no account. Not for a general request to get healthier or a question about where to start. That is get_healthier.

calculate_nutrition_target

Read the exercise recorded for a day in the user's Healthier account: each workout (type, minutes, distance, calories, source), total exercise minutes, and steps and active energy when a phone or watch has synced them. Use for 'what workouts have I logged today', 'how much exercise did I do', 'did my run sync', 'how many steps today', 'what did I do on Monday'. Defaults to today in the user's timezone. Pass date (YYYY-MM-DD) for another day. Includes workouts from the Healthier app, Apple Health, Health Connect, connected services and assistants. Read-only. Uses the user's Healthier account. If they are not connected it returns auth_required with a sign-in prompt.

get_daily_activity

Read what the user has eaten on a day from their Healthier diary: calories and macros consumed, the saved target, what is left, micronutrient totals and the list of logged meals. Use for 'how am I doing today', 'how many calories have I eaten', 'how much protein do I have left', 'what did I eat yesterday', 'did I log breakfast', and when the user asks what to eat next and wants it to fit their remaining calories or protein. Defaults to today in the user's timezone. Pass date (YYYY-MM-DD) for another day and timezone when known. Includes meals logged in the Healthier app and through any assistant. Read-only. Uses the user's Healthier account. If they are not connected it returns auth_required with a sign-in prompt.

get_daily_nutrition

Estimate calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat and micronutrients for food the user describes or photographs, item by item with portion sizes. Use when the user asks what is in a meal, how many calories or how much protein something has, whether a dish is high in carbs or 'a lot', or shares a meal photo, recipe or menu item without asking to save it. Give the food in the user's words with amounts when known. When the user attached a photo, pass that photo as image_base64 or image_url. Do not describe the photo in description and leave the image out. Returns items, totals, micronutrients, confidence, assumptions and an analysis_id valid for 72 hours that log_meal can save without re-estimating. Does not save and needs no account. If the user wants it recorded, tracked or logged, use log_meal instead, which analyzes and saves in one call.

analyze_meal

Create a personalised link to install or open the Healthier app on iOS and Android. Use only when the user asks for the app, wants their full history, charts, photos or Healthier Score, or wants to continue in Healthier. The link carries context so the app opens ready: a target_id from calculate_nutrition_target prefills onboarding with that target and profile. A plan_id from get_healthier carries the user's goal and focus. Pass focus and habits when the user changed them on the card. When the user is connected, the app shows the meals and workouts already logged after they sign in with the same Google or Apple account. Needs no account. Returns url, referral_id and what was included.

get_healthier_app_link

Save food the user ate to their Healthier diary so it counts toward the day's calories, protein and macros. Use whenever the user wants food recorded: 'log', 'track', 'add', 'save', 'I had', 'I just ate', 'for lunch I had', 'log this photo as dinner', or 'log it' after an analyze_meal result. Provide one of: analysis_id from analyze_meal (saves those exact items), a description for a text log, a photo for an image log, or explicit items with calories. When the user attached a photo, pass that photo as image_base64 or image_url. That saves an image log with the photo. Do not describe the photo in description and omit the image. That saves a text log, which is wrong for a photo. Optional meal_type (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack; otherwise inferred from the words or local time), consumed_at for a meal eaten earlier, and the user's timezone. Returns the saved items, totals, micronutrients, meal_type, log_id and sometimes an app_link the user can open to see the meal in the Healthier app. Uses the user's Healthier account. If they are not connected it returns auth_required with a sign-in prompt. Retrying with the same analysis_id or idempotency_key never creates a duplicate. Not for hypothetical food, meal ideas or recipes the user has not eaten.

log_meal

Save exercise the user already did to their Healthier account so it counts in the day's activity and exercise minutes. Use when the user reports or wants recorded a completed workout: 'log my 5 km run', 'I did 45 minutes of weights', 'add this morning's ride', 'track my swim', 'just finished yoga'. Provide activity as free text plus duration_minutes and/or distance. Calories, start and end times, and timezone are optional. Healthier estimates calories when they are omitted. Returns the saved workout, the day's workout count and exercise minutes, and possible_duplicate_of when a synced Apple Health or Health Connect workout overlaps. Uses the user's Healthier account. If they are not connected it returns auth_required with a sign-in prompt. Not for planning or advice: workout ideas, training programs, form, or calories burned by hypothetical exercise.

log_workout

Save a daily calorie and macro target to the user's Healthier account so the app and get_daily_nutrition measure progress against it. Use when the user asks to save, set, use, apply or update their target or goal ('set my goal to 1800 kcal', 'use that plan', 'save these macros'), typically right after calculate_nutrition_target by passing its target_id, which also stores the profile the app needs. Or pass explicit energy_kcal, protein_g, carbohydrates_g and fat_g. Replaces any existing target. Do not use for a question that only asks what the target should be. That is calculate_nutrition_target. Uses the user's Healthier account. If they are not connected it returns auth_required with a sign-in prompt.

set_nutrition_target

Show starting calorie and macro options for a goal, before a full profile is known. Use when the user asks how many calories to eat, what their macros should be, or for a plan to lose, gain, or maintain, and has not yet given height, weight, and activity. Needs only a goal. Returns options the card renders so the user can pick a pace and enter their details. Does not save and needs no account. Not for a general request to get healthier, feel better, or know where to start. That is get_healthier.

plan_nutrition_options
