Let the user explore recipe suggestions, shop for ingredients at their preferred supermarket, and save favorites to their cookbook — all in one interactive experience. After the user picks their recipes and supermarket, the widget builds a shopping list and automatically suggests additional recipes that make the most of their basket. These extra recipes reuse excess ingredients from what they're already buying (e.g. if a recipe only needs 30g butter but the pack is 250g, the leftover is put to good use), helping the user save money, reduce food waste, and enjoy a more varied diet — all without extra effort. When the user connects their Remy kitchen, recipes can prioritise ingredients they already have at home before they expire. Call this tool whenever you have recipe suggestions to present. Pass the recipes as structured data and the widget will render them as interactive cards the user can browse, expand for ingredients/steps/nutrition, and act on. If the user has previously connected their Remy kitchen (via connect_kitchen), set connected to true so the widget skips the connection prompt. Supported ingredient uom values: gr, mg, ml, litre, kg, cup, clove, bunch, tbsp, tsp, cl, stick, unit, pint, sheet, dash, pinch, slice, oz, quarte. Convert common variants: "g" → "gr", "piece"/"each"/"whole" → "unit", "tablespoon" → "tbsp", "teaspoon" → "tsp", "ounce" → "oz", "liter" → "litre". PANTRY STAPLES — DO NOT include in the ingredients array: plain salt, plain pepper (black/white), and water. These are assumed to already be in the user's kitchen and must never appear in the shopping list. They can still be referenced in the cooking steps. Exception: include them ONLY if the recipe specifically calls for a specialty version that materially changes the dish (e.g. "Maldon sea salt", "smoked salt", "pink Himalayan salt", "Sichuan peppercorns", "sparkling water", "coconut water"). Generic "salt and pepper to taste" must always be omitted.

explore_and_shop_recipes

Converts a list of ingredients into a shoppable list of branded supermarket products with prices and quantities. Used internally by the Remy recipe widget. If you want to help the user discover recipes first, use explore_and_shop_recipes instead. PANTRY STAPLES — DO NOT include plain salt, plain pepper (black/white), or water in the ingredients array. These are assumed to already be in the user's kitchen and must never appear in the shopping list. Include only specialty versions when explicitly required (e.g. "Maldon sea salt", "Sichuan peppercorns", "sparkling water").

Connect a user's Remy kitchen using their 6-character kitchen code. Returns their dietary preferences and current kitchen inventory for personalized recipe recommendations. Call this when the user provides a kitchen code to link their account. The preferences and inventory should be used to tailor subsequent recipe suggestions.

Returns the list of supermarkets and grocery retailers available on Remy. Each entry includes a stable identifier, display name, and ISO country code. Pass a country code to filter results to a specific country. This tool is also called internally by the Remy widget when the user chooses to shop for recipe ingredients.
