Description

Readplace is a read-it-later app your assistant can work with directly to dave original sources of your searches. Save a link mid-conversation and it lands in the same queue you read from in the browser and on your phone, with the title, excerpt, and a clean reader view filled in. Your assistant can read that queue back too: list what you've saved, filter to unread, pull an article's details, reader view, or AI summary to talk about it, surface related saves from your own queue, and mark things read or unread as you get to them.

Deleting a saved article is done by the user in the Readplace app, not by the assistant. Calling this does NOT delete anything — it returns instructions to open the app.
delete_article
Return the full metadata (title, site, excerpt, word count, estimated read time, status, and saved/read dates) for one saved article, looked up by the id from a list_queue result.
get_article
Return the cleaned, readable HTML of one saved article, looked up by id. If the reader view is still being fetched, reports that it is not ready yet rather than failing.
get_article_content
Return the AI-generated TL;DR for one saved article, looked up by id, or its current status (pending, failed, or skipped) when a summary is not yet available.
get_article_summary
Return other articles in the user's own Readplace readlist that relate to one saved article, looked up by id, each tagged unread or read and carrying a short reason and an id you can pass to get_article. An unread pick is the natural next read; a read pick is one they finished earlier and may want again. Articles the user has deleted are left out. Reports its status (pending or skipped) when no relations have been worked out.
get_related_articles
List the pages the user has saved to their Readplace reading readlist, optionally filtered to unread or already-read items. Each item includes an `id` you can pass to get_article, get_article_content, or get_article_summary. Use `limit` and the `nextCursor` from a previous result to page through a long readlist.
list_queue
Mark one saved article read in the user's Readplace readlist, looked up by the id from a list_queue result. The article stays in the readlist and leaves the unread list. An article the user filed into more than one readlist is marked read in every one of them, not just the first. Marking an already-read article read again changes nothing. Do this when the user has read the piece or asks you to — a summary you produced is not the same as the user reading it.
mark_as_read
Mark one saved article unread in the user's Readplace readlist, looked up by the id from a list_queue result. It returns to the unread list and its read date is cleared, in every readlist the user filed it into. This is the undo for mark_as_read.
mark_as_unread
Save a web page (article, blog post, or PDF) to the user's Readplace reading readlist so they can read it later. The page's title, excerpt, and reader view are fetched in the background after saving.
