Nomad Assurance

Add an optional insurance product (option) to the quote by its productCode. Use this after pricing to enrich coverage with options like luggage, IT equipment, or cancellation. The list of available products and their codes can be retrieved via get_quote_available_products. Some products require a coveredAmountCents parameter (covered amount in euro cents) — check the available products tool to know which.

Start a new travel insurance quote with trip information. Returns a quote ID that must be used for all subsequent operations on this quote (pricing, adding products, subscription). Required as the first step in the workflow. travelReason and coverageIntent guide the type of insurance offered. Use ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 codes for countries (e.g. "TR" for Turkey, "US" for United States). Dates must be in ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD).

Retrieve a travel insurance quote by ID. Returns full quote details: status, trip info (dates, countries, travelers count), priced items with options and benefits, contact info if collected, and total price. Use this to inspect the current state of a quote at any point in the workflow.

List the optional insurance products that can be added to this quote, with their prices and benefits. Use this to help the user choose options for additional coverage (cancellation, luggage, IT equipment, rescue fees, etc.) based on their trip and current quote state. Each product has a unique productCode usable with add_quote_product. Some products require a coveredAmountCents (look at optionPricingMode === "covered_amount_band").

List all benefits covered by this quote: socle (included with the main product) and subscribed options. Each benefit comes with its label, limit and a list of real-world examples (situation, estimated cost, amount covered by Nomad) scoped to the first destination country of the trip. Use this to explain to the user, with concrete cases, what they are actually covered for in their destination.

Capture the subscriber and traveler details on a quote so they are pre-filled when the user goes to pay: full name, date of birth, email, phone, French postal address, and additional travelers. The quote stays in QUOTED status — no payment is triggered. The response includes a `finalizationUrl` field: return that URL to the user so they can review and pay manually in their browser.

Compute the final price of the quote based on current trip information and selected products. Status moves DRAFT → QUOTED. Returns the priced quote with totalPriceCents and the chosen socle product. Call this after creating or updating a draft, and after adding/removing products. The agent does not need to provide contact information at this step.

Remove an optional insurance product (option) from the quote by its productCode. Cannot remove the base coverage product. After removal, you must call price_insurance_quote to refresh the price.

Update trip information on an existing draft quote (countries, dates, travelers count, travel reason, coverage intent). Use this when the user wants to change any trip detail before pricing. After updating, you must call price_insurance_quote again to refresh the price. Cannot be used after the quote is paid.
