Switchbooks

Switchbooks is accounting software built to be run by AI. Connect it to Claude to read your profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow and, when you allow changes, to categorize and post bank transactions, book journal entries, and reconcile to your statement. You choose the access. On the approval screen, "Allow bookkeeping changes" controls whether Claude can change your books. Without it, Claude only reads. Most changes can be undone from the same chat for 30 days, including postings, matches, and deletes. Editing a journal entry or replacing a split cannot be undone. Claude cannot move money. Read: P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, trial balance, forecast, any account's ledger, and transaction search. Change, if you allow it: post, split, match, and delete transactions; book, edit, and delete journal entries; create, rename, merge, and delete categories, payees, and rules; finish a reconciliation once it matches your statement. Syncing banks, importing files, email, and sharing reports stay in the Switchbooks app. For accountants: one sign-in covers every client company you can access. Switch between them in the chat, and each company's books stay separate. Get started: Free 10-day trial per company, no credit card, then $25 a month per company. You sign in to your bank in the Switchbooks app, not in chat. When a trial ends, Claude cannot open that company until you subscribe.
