Trabber

Use this when the user has flexible dates or destinations and wants cheap flight ideas, such as a low-cost getaway, the cheapest month, or places within a budget. It reads Trabber's database of the best round-trip prices recently found by searches. It does NOT launch a live search: it is instant, free and unlimited, so use it BEFORE search_flights for open-ended questions like "where can I fly cheap from Madrid in July", "which month is cheapest to fly to Rome" or "find a weekend getaway under 100 euros": leave destination and/or dates open and filter by price, trip length, stops or weekday. For origin and destination, prefer three-letter IATA airport or city codes whenever you know them. Otherwise pass the place name in English, regardless of the user's language. Each deal is a real dated itinerary with its price per adult, how long ago the price was found (prices may have changed since) and the booking_url to buy it on the selling website: always show the booking_url to the user. To check that a deal is still available at that price, or to compare more sellers and times, launch search_flights with the deal's route and dates. Only round-trip deals are stored; for one-way trips go directly to search_flights.

explore_flight_deals

Use this when the user wants full details or every seller for one property (hotel, apartment, hostel...) returned by search_hotels or get_hotel_results: address, guest rating, amenities, a short description, photo URLs (photos, show them to the user as images when the interface supports markdown), and ALL room and rate offers with their website, price, meal plan, cancellation policy and booking_url (search_hotels and get_hotel_results only return the cheapest one). Use the hotel_id that search_hotels and get_hotel_results include in each result. Prices are the TOTAL for the whole stay and all the rooms.

get_hotel_details

Use this when the user wants the full itinerary or wants to compare every seller for one flight returned by search_flights or get_flight_results: the leg-by-leg breakdown (each individual flight with its airports, times and airline, including connections), plus ALL the websites selling it with their prices and booking_url (search_flights and get_flight_results only return the cheapest one). Use the flight_id that search_flights and get_flight_results include in each result.

get_flight_details

Use this when a search_flights call has returned a search_id and the user wants to see, rank or refine the actual flight options. Fast and free to call as many times as needed: use it (instead of launching a new search) to answer refinements like "the cheapest", "direct only", "departing in the morning" or "only Vueling", via the filter and sort parameters. Each result is one itinerary with its cheapest offer, including the booking_url. Always show the booking_url to the user so they can book that flight on the seller's website. A Trabber search also finds flights departing on dates close to the requested ones when they can be cheaper: those itineraries are flagged with nearby_dates and every flight carries its own date. Set include_nearby_dates to false to list only exact-date flights. Use get_flight_details with a result's flight_id for the full leg-by-leg breakdown and the complete list of websites selling that itinerary.

get_flight_results

Use this when search_hotels has returned a search_id and the user wants to see, rank or refine the actual properties (hotels, apartments, hostels, villas...). Fast and free to call as many times as needed: use it (instead of launching a new search) to answer refinements like "the cheapest", "4 stars or more", "with breakfast", "near the center" or "with free cancellation", via the filter and sort parameters. Each result is one property with its accommodation type, a photo_url (show it to the user as a markdown image when the interface supports it) and its cheapest offer, including the booking_url. Always show the booking_url to the user so they can book on the selling website. Prices are the TOTAL for the whole stay and all the rooms (price_per_night is also included). Use get_hotel_details with a result's hotel_id for the description, amenities, photos and the complete list of room and rate offers.

get_hotel_results

Use this when search_multi_city_flights has returned a search_id and the user wants to see, rank or refine the actual multi-city itineraries. Fast and free to call as many times as needed: use it (instead of launching a new search) to answer refinements like "the cheapest", "direct only" or "only Iberia", via the filter and sort parameters. Each result is one itinerary covering ALL the legs of the trip, with every website selling it (offers are sorted by price and each website sells the whole trip as a single booking) and its booking_url: always show the booking_url to the user so they can book on the selling website.

get_multi_city_results

Use this when search_cars has returned a search_id and the user wants to see, rank or refine the actual rental-car offers. Fast and free to call as many times as needed: use it (instead of launching a new search) to answer refinements like "the cheapest", "an automatic SUV", "electric", "with free cancellation" or "with desk at the airport", via the filter and sort parameters. Each result is one car offer from one website, including a photo_url of the car (show it to the user as a markdown image when the interface supports it) and its booking_url: always show the booking_url to the user so they can book it on the selling website. Prices are the TOTAL for the whole rental (price_per_day is also included).

get_car_results

Use this when search_trains has returned a search_id and the user wants to see, rank or refine the actual train or intercity-bus itineraries. Fast and free to call as many times as needed: use it (instead of launching a new search) to answer refinements like "the cheapest", "direct only", "departing in the morning" or "only Renfe", via the filter and sort parameters. Each result is one itinerary with every website selling it (offers are sorted by price) and its booking_url: always show the booking_url to the user so they can book on the selling website. Some offers are two separate bookings (outbound and return sold by different websites): those have booking_url_outbound and booking_url_return instead. Results may include intercity buses besides trains (see the transport field). Prices are the TOTAL for all the passengers.

get_train_results

Use this when the user asks to resume, revisit or list searches from their Trabber account. Return the most recent searches first for one vertical: flights (default), multi-city flights, hotels, rental cars or trains. Use it to resume an earlier search or to point the user to results they looked at before. Each entry includes its search_id: pass it to the get_* tool of the vertical (get_flight_results, get_multi_city_results, get_hotel_results, get_car_results, get_train_results) to read those results again (results are only kept for a while, so an old search may have to be relaunched with the search tool of the vertical).

list_my_searches

Use this when the user wants to search for current flight or airfare prices for a concrete route and dates. Trabber compares flights offered by airline and travel-agency websites. Requires concrete origin, destination and dates, so gather all trip details from the user before calling. For origin and destination, prefer three-letter IATA airport or city codes whenever you know them, as they avoid ambiguity. If you do not know the IATA code, pass the place name in English, regardless of the user's language. The search takes 30-90 seconds and this tool waits until it finishes, then returns a summary (number of results, best itinerary per number of stops, airlines found) plus a search_id. By design the search also finds flights departing on dates close to the requested ones when they can be cheaper; those itineraries are flagged with nearby_dates and every flight carries its own date. It does NOT return the flight list: call get_flight_results with the search_id to list, filter and sort the actual flights.
