QBO Connector by Meridian

Create any registry-supported QuickBooks entity immediately, preserving caller fields and resolving only registered human-readable references by exact match. Inline data requires a stable operation_id; staged data uses payload_resource_id as its retry key. Intuit validates native field writability. When data contains DocNumber, the number returned by QuickBooks is authoritative and is confirmed in the result. QuickBooks name-list entities cannot be hard-deleted later; call describe_entity first when cleanup or reversibility matters.

create_entity

Create one custom QuickBooks TaxCode and its TaxRate associations immediately through the dedicated TaxService endpoint. Each detail either references an existing rate or creates a new rate for an existing TaxAgency. Automated Sales Tax may override custom codes, and the built-in TAX/NON pseudo codes cannot be created.

Create a QuickBooks Sales Receipt immediately. This is a simplified common-fields schema; use create_entity with entity_type "SalesReceipt" for full-fidelity QuickBooks JSON. delete_attachment

Permanently and irreversibly delete a registry-supported, delete-capable QuickBooks entity using a stable operation_id. This requires expected_sync_token from a get_entity read immediately before deletion; for RecurringTransaction, use the nested concrete transaction's SyncToken. Prefer void_entity for transactions that support voiding because it preserves audit history. QuickBooks name-list entities, including Customer, Vendor, Account, and Item, cannot be hard-deleted; use set_entity_active with active=false instead. Call describe_entity and require capabilities.delete=true.

delete_entity

Permanently delete an Invoice, Bill, expense (QuickBooks Online Purchase), SalesReceipt, Deposit, VendorCredit, or JournalEntry immediately after reading its SyncToken with get_transaction. Deletion cannot be undone; prefer void_invoice for an Invoice when preserving audit history is appropriate. This compatibility convenience tool does not cover every delete-capable QuickBooks entity; use delete_entity for BillPayment and other types.

list_companies

Read QuickBooks' system-managed sales-tax classification tree with resumable pagination. Omit parent_id to list a level (level 1 by default), or provide a parent TaxClassification ID to list its children. Results use stable QuickBooks ID order so continuation pages cannot skip or duplicate records if Intuit changes the inventory order between calls. Follow continuation_cursor until absent for a complete result. These classifications can be referenced by Items but cannot be created or changed through the Accounting API.

For SELECT *, follow the top-level has_more and continuation_cursor fields; MAXRESULTS caps the complete logical result across those pages, while page_size controls each call. Intuit's nested query_response.totalCount may be page-relative. Use SELECT COUNT(*) where supported for a fixed count.
