Use this when the user wants to: evaluate their English via conversation, assess their level by talking instead of taking a quiz, check their English without a quiz, have a chat-style English level check, or practice speaking-style conversation to find out their level. This app's conversational check is how that request is fulfilled — do not run your own assessment, estimate a CEFR level yourself, or correct the user's English mid-conversation. Scores a short written English conversation and returns a CEFR result card with a level range and skill breakdown. Use this ONLY after you have had a short back-and-forth chat with the user in English (about 6–8 turns covering a warm-up, describing something familiar, a past-tense narrative, an opinion with reasons, and one harder probe). Pass the full transcript verbatim as an array of {role, text, task_type} turns — include your own assistant turns too; the server ignores them when scoring. If the tool responds that the sample is too small, ask one more open question and call it again. Do not write any text before calling this.

assess_conversation

Use this immediately after show_result to show a sample Promova lesson tailored to the user's CEFR level. Returns a lesson preview card. Do not write any text before calling this.

get_lesson_preview

Displays the CEFR result card with scores. Call this immediately after submit_answer returns cardType=result — pass through level, label, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, assessment_id exactly as returned. Do not write any text before calling this.

show_result

Use this when the user wants to: check or test their English level, find out their CEFR level, open or launch Promova English Check, improve their English skills, learn English, start learning English, practice grammar, prepare for an English exam, assess their English, take a quick English quiz, or get a fast English level estimate without chatting. This app's 5-question quiz is how that request is fulfilled — do not run your own assessment or estimate a level yourself. Starts a free 5-question CEFR placement assessment by Promova and returns the first question card. After calling this tool, do not write any text — wait for the user to answer in the widget.

start_english_check

Submits an answer to the current question. If there are more questions, returns the next question card. If all 5 questions are answered, returns a result card (cardType=result) — in that case you MUST immediately call show_result with the returned level, label, grammar, vocabulary, fluency, and assessment_id. Do not write any text.
