By default includes all resorts regardless of season; pass onlyOpen=true to restrict to resorts whose season covers the forecast dates (useful when the user wants actionable near-term skiing options).

Search ski resorts in the Alps by name, region, or country. Returns a minimal list of matching resorts with id, title, and canonical Powly URL. Use the returned id with the fetch tool to get full resort details (elevation, pistes, lifts, season, snow forecast). Prefer the richer search_resorts tool when filtering by travel time, piste size, or ski pass is needed.
