Use this whenever the user weighs several specific resorts against each other ("Sölden oder Ischgl?", "which is better for X, A or B?", "compare A, B and C"). Fuzzy name matching is supported.

Get the full text and metadata of a specific ski resort by its stable id (returned from the search tool or as stable_id field of any other tool). Returns elevation, piste breakdown, lifts, season dates, ski passes, and current snow forecast as a Markdown summary plus structured metadata.

fetch

Find the best upcoming powder days at ski resorts reachable by car from any city. Analyzes snow forecasts and driving times to identify dates with significant snowfall (default: 10+ cm). Automatically filters out resorts whose season has ended (or not yet started) on the forecast date, so every returned suggestion is actionable. Returns a list of dates with the top resorts for each day, sorted by expected snowfall.

Get the driving route from any starting city to a specific ski resort, rendered as an interactive route map. Returns driving duration, distance in km, and the route geometry. Use this when the user asks how to get to a resort, how long the drive is, or wants to see the route/way to a ski resort on a map. Routing is computed live via OpenRouteService (same engine as powly.de).

Get the snow forecast for a specific resort, a region (e.g., "tirol"), or a country. Returns daily snowfall in cm, temperature min/max, and total snowfall for each resort. Forecast data covers up to 16 days from Open-Meteo. Results are sorted by total expected snowfall (most snow first). By default includes all resorts regardless of season; pass onlyOpen=true to restrict to resorts whose season covers the forecast dates (useful when the user wants actionable near-term skiing options).

Search ski resorts in the Alps by name, region, or country. Returns a minimal list of matching resorts with id, title, and canonical Powly URL. Use the returned id with the fetch tool to get full resort details (elevation, pistes, lifts, season, snow forecast). Prefer the richer search_resorts tool when filtering by travel time, piste size, or ski pass is needed.

List which Alpine ski resorts open (or close) their season on a given day or in an upcoming window — answers "which resorts open this week?", "what opens on November 29?", "when does the season start in Tirol?" and, with type="closing", "which resorts close soonest?". Results are grouped by date; pass a home city to get them sorted by driving time from there.

Work out which ski pass covers a set of resorts, or list the resorts included in a pass — answers "which pass covers both Sölden and Ischgl?", "is Zermatt on the Ikon Pass?" and "what resorts are in the Snow Card Tirol?". Pass "resorts" for the first direction or "pass" for the second. Covers 50 regional, national and international passes across the Alps.
