Folds photos ingested in this session into a book that already exists, keeping its pages, name and link.

add_photos_to_photobook

Lists the photo book formats available in a country and their prices: sizes, shapes and cover types, each with its price. For questions about which formats exist or what they cost, such as 'what sizes do you have' or 'how much is an A4 hardcover'. It does not make a book from the user's photos; that is open_photobook_composer.

photobooks_search

Re-lays a created book out in a different style (clean, colourful or elegant) or with a different number of photos per page, such as 'more elegant', 'busier pages' or 'one photo per page', and shows the result in the preview without saving it. The user keeps or undoes the change in the preview.

restyle_photobook

Reports how many photos are uploaded, ingested and laid out, so an interrupted flow can be resumed.

Opens an interactive photo book composer with a file picker, right here in the conversation. USE THIS whenever someone wants to MAKE a photo book from their own photos — the whole job happens in this chat and the finished book gets a link. It is NOT the catalogue: for what we sell, what sizes exist or what a book costs, use photobooks_search, which browses products and prices. USE THIS FIRST whenever someone wants to make a photo book and the photos are on their device — do NOT ask them to attach photos to the chat, because attachments cannot be passed to tools. The composer handles choosing files, uploading, ordering and designing on its own; you do not need to call photobook_start_upload, photobook_ingest_photos or create_photobook after it. Only fall back to those tools when you are reading files from a filesystem yourself (Claude Code or an agent), where there is no interface to show.

open_photobook_composer

Called by the composer widget when it is shown again, to find the book it made. Takes the card's own id from open_photobook_composer; not useful to a model.

get_composer_book

LATE-STAGE STEP, not a starting point: it only works on photos already ingested in this session. If nobody has uploaded anything yet, use open_photobook_composer instead. Designs a photo book from the photos ingested in this session and returns a link to open it. The link claims the book for whoever opens it and signs in — no account is needed to create one. Returns a summary only; use get_photobook_pages for page layout.

create_photobook

Reports how a created book is laid out. By default returns a summary: page count, spread count, photo count and shape. `detail: "texts"` lists the words on each page, which is how a caption or title is found before moving or removing it. `detail: "geometry"` is the full page layout the interactive preview draws: thousands of numbers, with nothing in them that the summary does not already say.

get_photobook_pages

Returns alternative layouts for specific pages of a book, for the interactive preview to draw as a strip under each page. Called by the preview as the reader scrolls; it is page geometry, so it tells a model nothing it cannot get from the summary.

get_photobook_page_variants

Returns the commands to download and run the photobook uploader, which makes a photo book from photos on disk, at any number of photos, including a single one. It needs a shell; hosts without one use open_photobook_composer. The script gets the presigned URLs, verifies them, uploads with retries, processes the photos and creates the book, then prints a short summary and the link. It is version-controlled and tested, and it replaces calling the individual photobook tools one by one.
