Municibid

Produce a rough low/median/high market value range for an item using Municibid sold comps from the requested lookback window (default 24 months). Returns the estimate, a confidence label, the number of comps used, and a sample of the comps that drove the range. Not an appraisal — use only as a directional reference for public-sector surplus pricing.

estimate_market_value

Return one public summary for a Municibid government agency or public-sector seller. Requires agency_name as a public display-name fragment, such as "Springfield Township"; this tool does not accept agency_id or other internal account IDs. Matching is case-insensitive and partial; provide state as a two-letter U.S. abbreviation to narrow common names. If multiple public agencies match, the tool returns the best match sorted by active auction count and then recent sold count.

get_agency_profile

Fetch public details for one Municibid auction. Provide at least one lookup value: either auction_id as the numeric ListingId, for example "123456", or listing_url as a full municibid.com Listing/Details URL. If both are provided, auction_id is used. Returns title, description, seller, location, current bid, bid count, timing, photo, and canonical listing URL.

get_auction_details

Return historical sold Municibid auctions comparable to the requested item — filterable by keyword, category, make/model/year, U.S. state, and date range. Each result includes sold price, close date, location, and listing URL. Use this when the question is about what something actually sold for at public surplus auction, not the current asking price.

get_sold_comps

Search active Municibid public-sector surplus auctions (vehicles, equipment, real estate, and miscellaneous government surplus). Filter by keyword, category, U.S. state or city, price range, closing window, and seller. Returns title, current bid, location, closing time, and listing URL for each match. Use this for discovery questions like "find dump trucks in Pennsylvania closing this week."
