get_passage_context

Run Pāli-centered lexicographic lookup across DPD, DPPN, PED, and CPED, with Monier-Williams and Buddhist Hybrid Sanskrit available as philological aids for related forms. Includes inflection resolution and curated cognates. Definitions are strictly bounded. Meaning runs only through an isolated, cancellable semantic service and may take several seconds after idle; wait for its result. Read one held public passage by id. The backwards-compatible combined view alone uses numeric character offsets. For a selected reading, omit cursors initially, then copy its returned opaque next_cursor verbatim into the parameter named by document_layout.pagination: segment_cursor for segment.v1 or cursor for character.v1. Never fabricate opaque tokens. Stable held segments can also be addressed directly by exact segment_key/unit_id with start_segment and inclusive end_segment. Original, selected translation, aligned, and Pāli interlinear views preserve explicit provenance. Interlinear glosses expose only held dictionary results and never invent morphology or translation.
