Return the nearest municipal écocentres (drop-off centres) to a Montréal address (or lat/lng), nearest first, with distance, hours, accepted materials, access rules and tariffs. Use for 'where can I drop off <material>?' questions. Optionally filter by an accepted material and cap the number of results.

Given a Montréal address (or lat/lng), return the waste-collection info for every stream (garbage, recycling, food/organic waste, green waste, bulky items, etc.) at that location: the collection days/schedule, an AI-normalized schedule with the exact upcoming dates when available, the sector, any exceptions, and the raw bilingual notice text. This is the primary tool for 'when is my garbage/recycling collected?' questions.

Resolve a Montréal address string to a { lat, lng } coordinate (and the matched address). Returns an error if it can't be resolved to a point in the Montréal area. Usually unnecessary — the other tools accept an `address` directly — but useful to confirm a coordinate.

geocode_address

Return a subscribable iCalendar (.ics) feed URL for the waste-collection dates at a Montréal address (or lat/lng), plus a structured summary of the upcoming dates per stream. Give the user the `feedUrl` to add to Apple/Google Calendar as a calendar subscription — it refreshes automatically. Streams with exact extracted dates appear as one event per date; streams marked `approximate` appear as a weekly recurrence inferred from the notice text. Events cover the last hour of the put-out window when the schedule states one, and are all-day otherwise.

get_collection_calendar

Return borough-level annual waste mass-balance figures (recovery/diversion rates by material, kg per person, trend over years, vs. the agglomeration baseline) for the Montréal borough containing an address (or lat/lng). This is context, not a schedule. Null when the point isn't in one of the 19 boroughs (e.g. a linked city).
