Checklist

Add tasks to an existing checklist. Omit parent or use null for root tasks; otherwise use an existing task ID. Omit after to append, use null to insert first, or a direct sibling ID to insert after it. Tasks may include one level of subtasks; create deeper levels with another call using a returned child task ID as parent. Returns the full updated checklist.

Do not rely on an earlier result for current state. Use list_teams first to find an authorized team. Omit query to browse recent checklists; archived checklists are excluded unless includeArchived is true. Omit cursor for the first request. The cursor is opaque: never construct or modify it. Only use a nextCursor returned by a previous response from the same search, keeping team, normalized search/filter values, and pageSize unchanged.

search_checklists

Browse or search private templates by name and notes in one authorized team. Omit query to browse; use list_teams to discover template access. Omit cursor for the first request. The cursor is opaque: never construct or modify it. Only use a nextCursor returned by a previous response from the same search, keeping team, normalized search/filter values, and pageSize unchanged. Requires an editor role in the team.

search_templates

Call list_pages first, then create a minimal unpublished page in the Checklist-owned channel. Use update_page afterward to populate it.

create_page

Create a new private template in an authorized team using its complete content, tasks, and settings. Supply explicit views and omit task IDs. Notes and introductions support Markdown. Requires template WRITE or FULL access from list_teams and an editor role in the team.

create_template

Create a new empty checklist in an authorized Checklist team. Use list_teams to choose the team, then call add_tasks to add tasks.

create_checklist

Delete an entire checklist and all of its tasks. Use delete_tasks instead to remove individual tasks.

delete_checklist

Delete tasks from a checklist. Deleting a task also deletes all of its subtasks. Missing tasks are treated as already deleted. Returns the full updated checklist.

get_page

Get the current contents of one checklist, including all tasks in checklist order. Call this tool again when the user asks to refresh or reload the checklist, says it changed, or when current state matters; do not rely on an earlier result for freshness. Use list_teams to choose a team and search_checklists to find a checklist, then pass both IDs. Archived checklists can be read. Use update_checklist with archived: false to restore them before changing tasks.
