DEPRECATED — do not call this. custom-figure-get-session finalizes the preview-generation credit handshake by itself when it returns preview images, so the generation is already settled by the time you could call this. Kept only so existing callers keep working; it is idempotent, so calling it anyway is a safe no-op.

custom-figure-confirm-preview

Start a custom figure draft session from a text prompt and optional canvas context. This begins asynchronous preview generation. Poll custom-figure-get-preview-job until it reports "completed", then call custom-figure-get-session to fetch the completed previews — that call finalizes the generation, so nothing further is required. Pass canvasContext as either an image ({ type: "image", imageBase64 }) or a BioRender template ({ type: "template", templateId }).

custom-figure-get-preview-job

Fetch a custom figure draft session. Completed previews may be returned as MCP images, while the JSON summary omits base64 image bytes. When a preview has been saved as a BioRender `figure`, the response includes that `figure` with a signed upload-backed `imageUrl` (rendered directly by the app UI) and an editor `url` — share the `url` so the user can open it in the editor.

custom-figure-get-session

Search BioRender for the user's own/shared files (figures) AND the public template library together. Results are returned under 1 MB and displayed in an interactive BioRender-styled UI when the client supports MCP Apps. Use this for any request to find or browse BioRender content — e.g. "show me my files and templates about mitochondria", "find BioRender content on X". Each result includes a title and a detailUrl that opens it in the BioRender app.
