This tool cannot filter, sort or change what the user sees — for a new search or to narrow, filter or re-sort the displayed results, call car-rental-offers instead.

Do not call this tool. Resolve a free-text pickup (and optional dropoff) location string into the location-id format consumed by car-rental-offers. Returns up to 5 candidate locations per query (airport, city, station), each with id, title, type, city, country and airport code. When multiple plausible matches exist (airport vs. city station, same name in different countries), they are returned together as separate candidates. Search for car rental offers via the Billiger-Mietwagen Floyt Consumer API (https://consumer-api.floyt.com). Returns a list of available rental cars (vehicle, supplier, price, rating, booking deep link) for a pickup/dropoff location, datetime range and driver age, together with the search status. This is the only tool that renders the car rental results UI. A new search requires pickup_location_id, pickup/dropoff datetimes and driver_age. The location id is the value produced by the resolve-locations tool — raw free-text location strings are not accepted here. Available offers and prices depend on driver_age: drivers under 25 typically see fewer offers and a young-driver surcharge. Call this tool again every time the user narrows, re-sorts or changes anything about the request. Two distinct cases: (1) To narrow or re-sort, pass the existing search_id together with the new filters and sort. (2) Dates, times, locations and driver age are FIXED per search — to change any of them, supply the complete trip details again (pickup_location_id, dates, times, driver_age); passing only search_id cannot change them and returns the old trip's offers unchanged. Only a new call re-renders the results UI. To only read the current data of an existing search without changing what the user sees, call car-rental-results instead — every call of THIS tool adds another results widget to the conversation. Never answer such a follow-up out of the offers of an earlier response. Each response carries only the first 10 offers of the ranking it was called with, so an earlier response cannot be narrowed down correctly: matching offers outside that slice are invisible, and prices and availability change between calls. While a search is still running (search_complete false), responses carry no offers at all — the interim results appear in the user's widget; read the current data via car-rental-results. Do not select, filter, re-rank or re-price offers on your own, and never present results as filtered unless this tool returned them with those filters applied.
