Amend an existing APL booking. IDENTITY: always ask for the email address used on the booking — the reference alone is never enough, and the API rejects mismatches. Can change: passenger name, phone, email, flight number, transfer date, transfer time, passengers count, special requests. CANNOT change car type (must cancel and rebook). Read the exact changes back to the customer and get their explicit approval before calling.

amend_booking

Checklist before calling: (1) Customer chose a car type — never choose for them (2) Passengers and suitcases asked — never assumed (3) Airport pickups: flight number collected, validate_flight called, clearance delay asked (15/45/60 min), transfer_time = landing + delay (NEVER landing time alone), origin MUST include terminal (e.g. "Heathrow Terminal 3" not "Heathrow Airport") (4) Name, phone with country code, AND email collected — ask ALL THREE in ONE message, NEVER split across multiple messages (6) Special requests asked (7) Payment info given (cash or online) (8) ALL details read back to customer and they said yes NEVER call this to amend — direct customer to manage booking link or call 0208 688 7744.

book_transfer

Cancel an existing APL booking. IDENTITY: always ask for the email address used on the booking — the reference alone is never enough, and the API rejects mismatches. CHARGES: 12+ hours before pickup, cash bookings cancel free; CARD-PAID bookings always incur a £10 admin fee (non-refundable card processing costs). Within 12 hours of pickup a larger charge may apply — the API response states the exact figure. FLOW: collect reference + email, tell the customer the charge that applies to THEIR booking, get their explicit "yes", and only then call with customer_confirmed=true.

cancel_booking

Get fixed transfer prices. BEFORE: ask customer for travel date and WAIT. AFTER this tool returns: say ONLY "Would you like to make a booking?" — NEVER list prices in text, the widget shows them.

get_quote

Cross-check a flight number. Call this IMMEDIATELY after the customer gives their flight number and landing time. NEVER ask for the terminal — this tool returns it. After calling: If times match, say "I've verified your flight — [number] ([airline]) arrives at [terminal] at [time]. All looks good!" If times differ, tell customer and ask which to use. THEN present clearance time: domestic=15min, European=45min, international=60min. Pickup = landing + clearance. NEVER use landing time as pickup. NEVER say "30 minutes".

validate_flight

Live driver tracking for an existing APL booking ("where is my driver?", "is my driver on the way?", "has a driver been assigned?"). IDENTITY: ask for the booking reference AND the email address used on the booking — the reference alone is never enough. Returns one of: no driver assigned yet · driver assigned but no GPS right now · driver's live position with how old it is, vehicle, and ETA when available. Report EXACTLY what it returns. NEVER guess, estimate or invent a location, ETA or "last updated" time. If it says no driver is assigned, explain drivers are assigned closer to pickup and give the 24/7 number 0208 688 7744.

track_driver
