airfocus

Retrieves a document by its ID, including its title, content, and linked items and workspaces.

get_document

Retrieves specific items from an airfocus workspace by their identifiers. Items can be specified using aliases (e.g. "PROJ-123") or UUIDs. Returns item names, descriptions, statuses, assignees, custom field values, etc. Also returns the number of linked items, documents, comments, parents, children, etc.

get_items

Retrieves the configuration of an airfocus workspace, including its statuses, fields, types, requirements, and its parent/child workspace hierarchy. Use this to understand a workspace's structure settings.

get_workspace_configuration

Creates parent-child relationships between items. Use when the user asks to link, nest, or make one item a parent/child of another. Each `from` item is linked to each `to` item. One of the two lists must contain exactly one item; the other may contain several. Both lists having multiple items is rejected. Max 50 pairs per call. Hierarchy must be enabled per workspace — call get_workspace_configuration first to confirm which workspaces support parent/child links and in which direction. Requires Write permission on both workspaces. Items can have multiple parents. Re-creating an existing link is a no-op. Self-links are always rejected.

link_items

Answers "what happened to this item?" questions — tracks who made each change and when, covering field updates, status changes, assignee changes, and all comment events (added, edited, deleted). Prefer this over get_comments when the question is about history or activity; use get_comments when you need the actual text of current comments. Most recent first, paginated.

search_item_activity

Searches for documents the caller can access, optionally scoped to a single item and/or filtered by text. When `item` is omitted, searches across every document the caller can read. Returns matching documents with their titles, IDs, and linked items. Use `offset` and `limit` to page through results.

search_documents

Searches for items across one or more workspaces using semantic similarity. Returns items ranked by relevance to the search text.

semantic_search_items

Searches member groups by name. Returns each group's name and ID.

search_member_groups

Searches team members by name. Returns each user's name and ID. Use this to find user IDs for mentions or assignments.

search_users

Lists available workspaces, optionally filtered by name, alias, workspace ID, or copied workspace URL. Returns each workspace's name, alias, workspace type, and workspace group.

search_workspaces

Removes parent-child relationships between items. Use when the user asks to unlink, unnest, or remove a parent/child relationship. Each `from` item is unlinked from each `to` item. One of the two lists must contain exactly one item; the other may contain several. Both lists having multiple items is rejected. Max 50 pairs per call. Requires Write permission on both workspaces. Removing a relationship that does not exist is a no-op. Do not use this tool to check whether a link exists; use get_linked_items instead.

unlink_items

Updates a document's title and/or content. Omit a field to leave it unchanged. Pass an empty string for `title` to clear the document's title. Use get_document to retrieve the current content before making changes.

Updates an existing item's properties. The item can be specified using an alias (e.g. "PROJ-123") or UUID.
