Permanently delete ONE asset, including its maintenance tasks and its entire activity history. This is irreversible: there is no undo, and the deleted history cannot be recovered. Administrators only. You must pass confirm_inventory_number matching the asset's exact inventory number — call get_asset first to read it. Prefer update_asset_state with state "deleted" instead: that is a reversible soft delete which keeps the asset's history, and is what "delete this asset" almost always means.
