Description

Parliament Connect turns the UK Parliament video record into something you can ask a question of. Describe an idea in plain language, or give the distinctive words you remember, and it returns the clips where those things were actually said in the Commons chamber. Every result comes back with the speaker, their party, the sitting date, an excerpt of the transcript the match was made against, and links to the clip — a public one that plays the video for anyone you send it to, and a private one that opens it in your shared Clip Library. Matching runs against the spoken transcript only, never the AI-written titles or descriptions attached to a clip. That matters: the half-remembered sentence is the thing to type. Two modes are available — full-text for distinctive wording or a name, and semantic for when you know the idea but not the phrasing. A second tool pulls a single clip's complete transcript once you have found it. It is built for people who need the footage rather than the summary: MPs' offices answering correspondence, journalists sourcing a quote before filing, and public affairs teams tracking what was said about a policy or a constituency. Everything the connector does is read-only. It cannot create, edit, publish, schedule or delete anything in your account. Searching covers the MPs your Parliament Connect plan includes, and coverage is House of Commons chamber sessions — no Lords, no select committees, no Westminster Hall. You sign in once with an existing Parliament Connect account. There is no API key to generate and no separate purchase: it is the library your plan already has, reached from the chat window instead of the browser.

Parliament Connect FAQ
How do I improve a Community connector's discoverability?

The levers are the listing surface agents actually read: names, descriptions, keywords, tool metadata, and registry health. Which lever matters depends on where discovery breaks, which is what continuous measurement shows.
