The Intent-Based Web is coming.
A few weeks ago Ghost Team presented this thesis at Statista HQ in Hamburg, invited by Ingo Schellhammer, Statista's CTO, to share perspective with their product and technology teams.
The core idea is simple: discovery is shifting from search bars and app stores to conversations. That changes how products are found, how trust is built, and how interfaces need to behave.
We explored:
- Why searching for apps increasingly feels broken
- How conversational AI changes the discovery layer
- How to design applications for the intent-based web
We were especially impressed by what Statista is already doing in this space, with their MCP already available in Perplexity, Copilot, Langdock, and expanding to more LLM environments.
It was a sharp room with strong product instincts, great questions, and real urgency around what comes next.
