Senior MCP App Engineer

We're seeking exceptional Senior MCP App Engineers to work with our agency in building production-grade MCP servers and ChatGPT apps for enterprise clients across marketing automation, business development, and conversational AI experiences.

Key Responsibilities

MCP Server Development

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade MCP servers with robust error handling, monitoring, and scalability
• Implement complex data integrations and tool orchestrations across multiple enterprise systems
• Build reusable MCP server components and establish architectural patterns
• Optimize server performance for low-latency responses and high-throughput scenarios

Security & Authentication

• Implement OAuth 2.1 flows and manage secure token handling across multiple providers
• Design and enforce end-to-end encryption for sensitive data transmission
• Establish security best practices including input validation, rate limiting, and threat mitigation
• Manage API keys, secrets, and credentials using industry-standard vault solutions
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (SOC 2, GDPR, etc.)

Front-End & UI Development

• Build responsive, accessible MCP UI widgets that provide seamless user experiences
• Develop custom components per MCP UI specifications and ChatGPT app design guidelines
• Create intuitive interfaces for complex workflow configurations and data visualizations
• Ensure cross-platform compatibility and optimal performance

ChatGPT App Integration

• Leverage OpenAI APIs to build sophisticated ChatGPT applications
• Implement advanced features including streaming responses, function calling, and multi-turn conversations
• Optimize prompt engineering and context management for production use cases
• Stay current with OpenAI platform updates and incorporate new capabilities

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience with production deployments
• Proven portfolio of MCP apps or similar AI-native applications you've built and shipped
• Deep expertise in Node.js/TypeScript or Python for MCP server development
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, or similar) for UI development
• Advanced understanding of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and real-time communication protocols

Security & Web Standards

• Extensive experience implementing OAuth 2.1, OpenID Connect, and authentication flows
• Strong knowledge of web security best practices: CORS, CSP, XSS prevention, CSRF protection
• Experience with encryption protocols (TLS/SSL, AES, RSA) and secure data handling
• Familiarity with API security: rate limiting, API keys, JWT validation, token management
• Understanding of compliance requirements and data privacy regulations

OpenAI & AI Integration

• Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs (Chat Completions, Assistants API, function calling)
• Understanding of prompt engineering, context window management, and token optimization
• Experience building conversational interfaces and multi-turn dialogue systems
• Familiarity with AI model capabilities, limitations, and best practices

MCP Ecosystem

• Deep familiarity with MCP protocol specifications and implementation patterns
• Experience with MCP server frameworks and tooling
• Understanding of MCP UI component architecture and widget development
• Active engagement with the MCP developer community (contributions, demos, or projects)
